Job Summary: The Project Coordinator will be
responsible for the implementation of one of the projects under the
cluster community development program in Kisoro District funded by
Greater Impact Foundation USA. The incumbent works
with RTV project partners, prospective villages, coordinates with
parties, and supports all aspects of project through its development:
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Project Coordinator will facilitate the development of project assessments, surveys and evaluations in line with RTV methodology with guidance from the M&E lead
- Facilitate development of the project designs
- Prepare and submit project annual work plans and budgets.
- Responsible for monitoring of the assigned project progress against the developed budgets, work plans and achievements of project goals and outcomes.
- Actively engage and Mobilize project beneficiaries and surrounding communities in the project planning, development, implementation and monitoring.
- Build and strengthen working relationships local government sector departments in planning and implementation of development programs.
- Support establishment and capacity building of project committees and facilitate their active participation in the planning, implementation and monitoring of project activities
- Prepare and send quality and timely project reports to keep track of progress of planned activities on a monthly basis as well budget expenditure reports
- Prepare and submit timely, quality, quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports.
- Collect and document and submit quality project impact and success stories on a quarterly basis
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Regional Program Manager (RPM).
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Raising The Village International (RTV) Project Coordinator career vacancy should hold a University Degree in Business, Economics, Development Studies, Social Studies or related fields
- Possession of a post graduate qualification in project planning and management
- At least five years’ experience working facilitating community development.
- Good project planning and management skills
- Excellent communication skills and team player
- Computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent organizational skills
- Highly reliable and independent.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to ride a motor cycle with a clean riders’ licence
- Energetic and able to hike on high terrain
- Self-starter
- Strong verbal and written English
- Fluent in local languages (Lufumbira, Kinyarwanda/Lukiga)
