Position : Station Manager- Bujumbura
Department: Operations
Section: Operations
Reporting: General Manager Operations
Key tasks:
  • Contribute to the definition and development of Rwandair products portfolio particularly Airport services;
  • Apply company standards and country’s laws for smooth and safe operations;
  • Ensure cost effective service delivery within agreed scope and standards;
  • Ensure staff levels and shift patterns are optimized;
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment in compliance with relevant legislative /industry requirement;
  • To ensure qualified/ and competent staff are placed through the stations;
  • Routine monitoring of safety and quality critical activities within passengers and ramp operations;
  • Ensure compliance to the standards, procedures and processes of the operation
  • Education and Experience
  • University Degree with a minimum of 5 years experience in Commercial Operations / the Travel Industry of which a min. of 5 years at a senior level with a proven track record.
  • Experienced planning and managing extensive human and materiel resources.
  • Experienced delivering service in demanding consumer perishable environment
  • Customer service experience hospitality/airline industry
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of airport services and cargo operations.
  • Commercial acumen with an overall knowledge of airline operations.
  • An excellent command of the English language (written and verbal) is essential.
  • Financial awareness.
  • Process oriented
  • Knowledge of IATA recommendations to airlines / travel agencies for selling in the market.
